starving weirdos: into an energy.

weavil_38
my friends starving weirdos just released their latest album, "into an energy", on london-based bo'weavil recordings, and asked me to contribute the cover photo. i'm stoked to have had anything at all to do with this release! the site describes the album:

"Into An Energy bares all the hallmarks of Starving Weirdos greatest work: the dizzying mixture of instrumental sounds, electronics, and field recordings with rain sticks, the horns, the hand drums, the gee-tars, or the cup-and-ball - at its core their art is a kind of deep-forest-ghetto-musique-concrète."

whatever. it's noise drone jazz trance. it's rad. they've released tons of stuff on root strata, digitalis, bottrop-boy/en-of, olde english spelling bee, cut hands, students of decay and more. you can listen to a couple of tracks from the new album here. check out some other recordings on their wire site, and on their myspace page.
